About this event
In this hands-on workshop in Salobreña’s Casa de la Cultura, we invite you to rethink what we call “waste” and discover the creative potential of local natural materials. Drawing from agro-residues from the Granada region such as sugarcane bagasse, olive pits, rice husk, and cork waste, we will explore color, material, and finish through a design-led making process. Using natural dyes, plant-based fibers, and simple binders, participants will create sculptural bowls, vases, or decorative objects for the home: unique handmade pieces that celebrate craftsmanship, regional identity, and the beauty of natural products. The workshop is designed to awaken the interior designer or artist within, while offering an introduction to circular material thinking and the expressive possibilities of bio-based materials. The workshop will be facilitated in English. We also speak Spanish, Portuguese and some French! A regional snack is included in the workshop fee. Spots are limited!
